With all the busyness in life, it can get hard to keep up a good prayer life. There are lots of prayers that are easy to start but get forgotten. Some of these are included in novenas. Novenas are groups of prayers, some short and some long, that are said for a specific saint’s intercession or for a certain intention. Usually these will be said nine days in a row, but it could be nine times in a row or nine months.
Here is a list of novenas that you can pray too!
The Divine Mercy Novena
The Divine Mercy Novena is said from Good Friday to Divine Mercy Sunday. This novena first began when Jesus appeared to St. Faustina and gave her an intention of a group of souls to bring to him each day of the novena. To pray the novena, the Divine Mercy Chaplet is said every day with some additional prayers added. (https://www.ewtn.com/catholicism/devotions/novena-13366)
Novena to Our Lady Undoer of Knots
This novena is a perpetual novena that can be started anytime and continued for as long as you like. This one is especially good if you have any specific knots in your life that you need unraveled. To pray this novena, you say a rosary every night, along with the Act of Contrition and two extra prayers.
