Happy Saint Valentine’s Day! Valentine’s Day is a time to celebrate love and friendship. With this in mind, hosting a Valentine’s Day Tea Party is a wonderful option for making the day extra special for those you love. All you will need is some cute decor, a variety of yummy snacks, fun home-made or store-bought valentines, and most importantly, the people you love!
Once you determine the number of guests you will be hosting, lay out some table clothes onto the number of tables you will need. To make it a bit more festive, you can run some fun heart paper down the middle. We just used inexpensive Valentine-themed wrapping paper. Each guest will need a plate, napkin, utensils, and a tea cup and saucer.
You can have assigned seating or allow people to sit where they please. If you decide to have assigned seating, a cute Valentine’s-themed paper bag with your guest’s names printed on the front can be used as a place holder. It is handy that it will double as a bag for guests to collect their valentines.

Adding some cute centerpieces and small bowls of snacks sporadically on the table will really elevate your décor.
A potluck is always an easy option for the menu. If you prefer to make the food yourself, you can prepare some delicious chicken salad and cucumber tea sandwiches, fresh fruit, and scones. A delicious dessert is always a welcome addition to the menu. Try baking my Raspberry Squares (see separate blog post) if you really want to impress your guests. Placing the food, tea, and teapots on a separate table leaves the main table more spacious for your guests.

Pinterest has some wonderful ideas for DIY valentines. Take some time and make valentines that express your love and friendship. Arrange them on another separate table so that when all your friends arrive you can do an exchange.
Finally, enjoy a wonderful Valentine’s Day Tea Party with your friends and family!
