During his fifth week in office, President Donald Trump stressed, among many other things, the importance of education, issuing an executive order to help African-American colleges and visiting St. Andrew Catholic School in Orlando, Florida. Here are the highlights of the week:
Monday 2/27: President Trump has a listening session with health insurance company CEOs, saying that he will help to get rid of Obamacare.
Tuesday 2/28: President Trump signs an executive order to “Promote excellence and innovation at historically black colleges and universities”.
Wednesday 3/1: President Trump declares March Irish-American Heritage Month.
Thursday 3/2: In a statement aboard the USS Gerald R. Ford, the nation’s newest aircraft carrier, President Trump promises to strengthen the US military.
Friday 3/3: President Trump advocates for education for the underprivileged at a parent-teacher conference listening session at St. Andrew Catholic School in Orlando, Florida.
