The First 100 Days of President Donald J. Trump: Week 4
President Trump had a busy fourth week of his presidency. Here is a summary of the highlights of his week.
Saturday 2/11: This week, President Trump acted to restore public safety and protect law enforcement. He stood up for our law enforcement officers and pushed back against the rising tide of crime with three Executive Orders.
Sunday 2/12: President Donald J. Trump speaks with President Pedro Pablo Kuczynski of Peru to reinforce the strong bilateral ties that exist between the United States and Peru. The two leaders agreed on the importance of building a foundation for robust economic growth in both countries.
Monday 2/13: President Donald J. Trump named Lt. General Joseph Keith Kellogg, Jr. (Ret) as Acting National Security Advisor following the resignation of Lt. General Michael Flynn (Ret). General Kellogg is a decorated veteran of the United States Army.
Tuesday 2/14: The President declared an emergency exists in the State of California and ordered Federal assistance to supplement State, tribal, and local response efforts due to the emergency conditions resulting from the potential failure of the emergency spillway at Lake Oroville Dam beginning on February 7, 2017, and continuing.
Wednesday 2/15: President Trump wants to pave the way for women to bring their unique perspectives and strengths to the business world, and to harness the full potential of female entrepreneurs in our economy to make America great again. Earlier this week, he and Canadian Prime Minister Trudeau created the United States-Canada Council for Advancement of Women Entrepreneurs and Business Leaders. “In order to create economic growth and lots of very good, well-paying jobs, we must ensure that our economy is a place where women can work and thrive.”
Thursday 2/16: President Trump hosted Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at the White House as his honored guest on Wednesday, and is looking forward to strengthening the relationship between the United States and Israel. President Trump has made it abundantly clear that the United States stands firmly with our ally Israel, especially in the face of terrorism. He is making it his administration’s duty to promote Israel’s security in order to establish a more peaceful and prosperous Middle East.
