The First 100 Day of Donald J. Trump: Week 7
President Trump started week 7 with a meeting with listening to a session on healthcare and met with some victims that have experienced hardship with Obama Care. Here are some highlights from the past week:
Monday 03/13: Executive order to plan for comprehensive reorganization of the Executive Branch. “This order is intended to improve the efficiency, effectiveness, and accountability of the executive branch by directing the Director of the Office of Management and Budget (Director) to propose a plan to reorganize governmental functions and eliminate unnecessary agencies (as defined in section 551(1) of title 5, United States Code), components of agencies, and agency programs.”
Tuesday 03/14: Trump announces intent to announce additional administrative posts.
Wednesday 03/15: Trump met with Saudi Deputy Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and reaffirmed strategic partnership to their interest in stable prosperity in the Middle East. Trump also spoke at the American Center for Mobility in Detroit.
Thursday 03/16: Trump approved California Disaster Declaration that orders federal assistance for areas that were affected with storms, floods, and mudslides. Trump then had a meeting with Taoiseach Enda Kenny of Ireland (Prime Minister of Ireland) to discuss economic and cultural ties and were in agreement to expand U.S. and Ireland trade relationship and further collaboration on global issues. Mike Pence also swore in Director of National Intelligence Dan Coats.
Friday 03/17: Both Trump and Pence attended a St. Patrick’s Day reception at the White House. Trump later went on to attend a multiple of meetings and sessions including a roundtable on vocational training with U.S. and German business leaders and the Veteran Affairs listening session.
