Hurricane Maria: Still Going Strong
September 20, 2017
Hurricane Maria, the third hurricane this season to cause devastating damage, just hit the Caribbean island of Dominica. She sustained winds of nearly 160 miles per hour, ripping roofs off buildings, including the home of the prime minister himself. After her landfall on the coast of Dominica, Maria moved away from shore. Her Category 5 status briefly lowered to Category 4, until she was spotted barreling towards the Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico, her Category 5 status fully regained. Hurricane Maria is expected to strike by Wednesday.
Continued prayers for all victims of this new catastrophic storm, affected and yet to be affected, are much appreciated.
