Throughout 2018, the Saint Pio foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to spreading awareness of the life and teachings of Saint Pio of Pietrelcina, is taking relics of Padre Pio on a tour of the United States.

The relics include Saint Pio’s mantle and glove, as well as crusts from his wounds, a lock of his hair, and clothes soaked in his blood and sweat.

Churches that have recently hosted the relics include: the Cathedral of Saint Joseph in the Diocese of Manchester, New Hampshire; Sacred Heart Cathedral in the Diocese of Fairbanks, Arkansas; and Saint James Cathedral in the Diocese of Seattle, Washington.

The relics will visit more churches in the United States starting in September, including Saint Mary Star of the Sea Parish in the Archdiocese of San Francisco, and Saint John the Evangelist Cathedral in the Diocese of Boise, Idaho. A complete list can be found on the Pio Foundation’s website, http://www.saintpiofoundation.org/american-tour-2018.

Padre Pio is one of the holiest and most widely acclaimed saints of the twentieth-century, as well as one who is especially known for working miracles. Being able to visit his relics is a rare and special opportunity. If the relic tour is in your area, be sure to take advantage of it!
