Our College Searches-4
November 12, 2018
Welcome to Evenings With The Editors! Join MODG Vox News Co-Editors, Katherine and Emma, as we talk about life and laugh with each other. The only rule for this podcast is that you must listen in the evening hours when you can step back from the hectic mess that might have been your day and reflect on the ebbs and flows of the comedy, and sometimes tragedy, that is high school.
In this episode, we discuss meeting up at the University of Dallas and searching for and applying to colleges. Enjoy and comment!

Firstly, Thank you soooo much Emma and Katherine! I always look forward to these podcasts with excitement!
Secondly, here is my college search story:
My first, and so far, only college visit was 4 years ago in 8th grade; and though I did not like Ave Maria, the visit introduced my family to Mother of Divine Grace school. My family and I was visiting Ave Maria University while on a vacation in Florida. I was able to tour the library, auditorium, and dining hall. Everything is very small, but the town has everything you could ever want from restaurants and shopping, to gas and grocery. As an added bonus: a beautiful Catholic Church in the town square. Afterwards, we threw a frisbee out on the quad. While there, a senior from Ave approached my mother and started talking with her. Somewhere in the conversation, she spoke of Mother of Divine Grace school, and how she loved it very much. Especially because it prepared her for college essays and papers. She commented on how other students seemed to struggle with paper writing, while she coming from a MODG background felt relaxed and confident. Without this interaction, I don’t know where I would be right now, MODG has helped me beyond what words can tell. I too feel I will also be well prepared for the upcoming college experience. Thank you MODG! And a special thank you to the former MODG student who introduced my family to MODG.
